By accessing or using our website at asos.com, you agree to be legally bound by these Terms & Conditions ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms in full, you must stop using our services immediately.

These Terms constitute a binding agreement between you and ASOS ("we", "us", "our"). We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the website after updates are posted constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

Account Registration

To access certain features — including placing orders and saving items — you must create an account. When registering, you agree to:

  • Be at least 16 years of age.
  • Provide accurate, complete, and current information.
  • Maintain the security of your password and not share your login credentials with others.
  • Accept responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account.
  • Notify us immediately at security@asos.com if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, contain inaccurate information, or have been inactive for an extended period.

Permitted & Prohibited Use

Permitted uses

You may use our website to browse products, place orders for personal use, save items to your wishlist, leave product reviews, and contact our customer service team.

Prohibited uses

You must not use our website for any purpose that is unlawful or prohibited by these Terms. Prohibited activities include, but are not limited to:

  • Scraping, crawling, or automated data extraction without our prior written consent.
  • Attempting to gain unauthorised access to our systems, databases, or user accounts.
  • Transmitting malware, viruses, or any other harmful code.
  • Impersonating any person, entity, or brand.
  • Interfering with the normal operation of the website or placing a disproportionate load on our infrastructure.
  • Purchasing goods for commercial resale without our express written authorisation.
  • Posting false, misleading, or defamatory reviews.

Violations may result in immediate account termination, and we reserve the right to pursue legal remedies where appropriate.

Products & Pricing

  • All prices are displayed in the applicable local currency and are inclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.
  • Prices are subject to change at any time without prior notice. Changes will not affect orders already confirmed.
  • Product images and descriptions are provided for illustrative purposes. Actual colours may vary slightly due to screen settings. We do not warrant that product descriptions are error-free.
  • We reserve the right to limit quantities of any product, refuse orders, and correct pricing errors at any time. If a pricing error is discovered after your order has been accepted, we will contact you and offer either the correct price or a full refund.
  • Promotional codes are subject to their own terms and can only be applied at checkout. They cannot be combined unless explicitly stated.

Orders & Payment

Placing an order

When you place an order, you are making an offer to purchase the items at the stated price. A binding contract is formed between you and us at the point we send a dispatch confirmation email. An order confirmation email is an acknowledgement only and does not constitute acceptance.

Payment

  • We accept major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex), PayPal, Apple Pay, and other methods as displayed at checkout.
  • By placing an order, you authorise us to charge your chosen payment method the full order amount including applicable taxes and delivery fees.
  • All payments are processed securely. We do not store your card details.

Order cancellation

You may cancel an order before it is dispatched by contacting us. Once dispatched, the order cannot be cancelled, but you may return it under our returns policy.

Returns & Refunds

  • You have 28 days from the date of delivery to return most items for a full refund.
  • Items must be returned in their original condition — unworn, unwashed, with all tags attached and in original packaging where applicable.
  • Some product categories are excluded from returns for hygiene or safety reasons, including: swimwear (if hygiene seal is broken), pierced jewellery, and customised items. These exclusions will be clearly noted on the product page.
  • Refunds are processed within 10–14 business days of receiving the returned item and will be issued to the original payment method.
  • We do not refund original delivery costs unless the item is faulty or we made an error.

Intellectual Property

All content on this website — including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, button icons, images, audio clips, digital downloads, and software — is the property of ASOS or its content suppliers and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You may not reproduce, distribute, publicly display, modify, create derivative works from, or commercially exploit any content from this website without our prior written permission.

The ASOS name, logo, and associated marks are trademarks of ASOS. Unauthorised use is prohibited.

User Content

If you submit content to our website — including product reviews, ratings, photos, or comments — you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, worldwide licence to use, reproduce, modify, publish, and distribute that content in connection with our services.

You warrant that:

  • You own or have the right to share the content.
  • The content does not infringe the intellectual property, privacy, or other rights of any third party.
  • The content is not defamatory, obscene, offensive, or otherwise unlawful.

We reserve the right to remove any user content at our discretion without notice.

Disclaimers

Our website and services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties including:

  • Implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
  • Warranties that the website will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.
  • Warranties regarding the accuracy, reliability, or completeness of any content on the website.

We do not warrant that defects will be corrected or that our servers are free of viruses or bugs.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, ASOS and its directors, employees, partners, agents, suppliers, and affiliates shall not be liable for any:

  • Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
  • Loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses.
  • Damages resulting from your access to or use of (or inability to use) our services.
  • Damages resulting from unauthorised access to or alteration of your data.

In no event shall our total aggregate liability to you exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months prior to the claim, or (b) £100.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be excluded by law, including liability for fraud, death, or personal injury caused by our negligence.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, United Kingdom, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. If you are a consumer in the EU, you retain any mandatory protections granted by your local consumer law.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes take effect immediately upon posting. Where changes are material, we will provide at least 14 days' notice by email (where applicable) or prominent website notice before the new terms take effect.

Your continued use of our services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance. If you do not accept the revised Terms, you must stop using our services.
